After my PhD at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in 1997, I continued doing research at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht. In 2002, I moved to Genmab and worked in the department of Scientific Communication for 12 years. In addition to writing scientific texts, I developed expertise in developing infographics and corporate art work, designed covers for scientific journals and produced Genmab’s corporate movies and technology websites. From 2010, I further specialized in early marketing communication strategies and completed one year of MBA. In 2013, I decided to combine my scientific background, graphic skills and marketing knowledge and start my own business – SCICOMVISUALS. My office opened back in January 2014, and has since attracted customers from many different companies and institutes.
